Terming the Government’s alleged volte-face around the NHS as a ???con trick,??à Merseyside Labour MPs not too long ago argued that concessions delivered after a 10-week overview will nonetheless leave the individuals in the region absolutely reliant on industry forces!
With a report from the NHS Long term Forum panel of professionals noting that, as per Prime Minister David Cameroon, the NHS were ???safe and secure for years to come,??à and that hospital physicians and nurses will be offered a greater say in patient care, Labour emphasized that the concessions that the reforms entail were largely bogus.
Noting that the concessions had been ???not enough,??à MP Luciana Berger from Wavertree mentioned that nobody ?§C not even the health experts ?§C have been convinced that the reforms will help deliver the most effective patient care or that NHS hospitals might be in a position to maintain at bay the implicit competition with a private sector in pursuit of profit.
Against the backdrop of earlier claims that the NHS reforms have been essentially a smokescreen for privatization, Knowsley’s MP George Howarth stated: ???When clarity was required concerning the inquiries that people are really concerned about ?§C the role on the private sector in competitors using the NHS and how sufferers will be treated ?§C all we get is either extra fudge or maybe a con-trick.??à
Lashing out with the Government, Sefton Central’s Bill Esterson said: ???The government has made a negative bill even worse by tinkering in the edges of a disastrous overhaul of all that’s superior about the NHS??à!
